One of the major themes of the 2015 Motionsoft Technology Summit that club operators and owners told us they wanted to hear more about was data utilization and analytics in the fitness industry so we created an analytics session for 2016 titled CTO Data Strategies: Extracting Competitive Advantage is Just a Few Clicks Away.

The next step was easy: we just needed to find the right panelists and a moderator.

Luckily, we’re very fortune to have some really smart people from some amazing companies who volunteer their time and share their expertise to support the fitness industry education mission of the Summit.

This year was no different.

Mike Rucker, PhD, MBA who serves as VP of Technology, Active Wellness was our panel moderator.  If you ever see Mike’s name listed as a speaker or moderator at any conference, just go. He’s that good!

Our panel of distinguished professionals joining Mike, included:

  • Jafar Adibi, CTO, re|unify
  • Jeffrey Cooper, Senior Manager, Business Development, Samsung
  • Mark Newman, President, Heads Up Analytics
  • Keith Catanzano, Partner, 2River Consulting Group

Five core data analytics questions Mike posed to the panel are summarized in an article he recently published on his personal blog that addresses workplace wellness, digital health, and employee well-being.  If your club is struggling with data analytics, take a moment to read Mike Rucker’s summary of his session.  You’ll be glad you did.
