Bodybuilding fans get ready for the modern re-make of Pumping Iron as Calum von Moger will play Arnold Schwarzenegger in “Bigger,” a movie about bodybuilding, according to reports.

Moger, a Mr. Universe winner from Australia who has been called “Schwarzenegger 2.0” for his resemblance to the iconic figure, hinted at the role on Instagram recently.

During the golden age of bodybuilding all the greats would train at Gold’s Gym in Venice, California so you can expect a lot of Gold’s Gym shots in the movie, which spans the 1920s to the 1970s, is based on the life stories of brothers Joe and Ben Weider.  The brothers overcame a life of poverty to pioneer the bodybuilding movement and turned it into international sport.

“It’s beyond inspirational, and will resonate with not only the massive crowd of those who have found the balance of body and mind as essential for a healthy life but also the throngs of people that were inspired by Joe and his Mr. Olympia events,” noted Georg Gallo.

“Bigger” is produced by Jones and his partners Scott LaStaiti and Camila Castro, Jones said.

The producers recently held a casting in Birmingham, AL where the movie is being filmed. They are searching for 500 extras.  Shooting begins in October and November.
